History
Named after owner Jenny Van Gemeren, JVG Herbs Limited started trading in June, 2008. Based in Spalding, Lincolnshire the focus was very much on fresh potted herbs. Using the industry experience of it’s owner JVG Herbs built up a successful business supplying a range of locally grown, fresh potted herbs to the retail, foodservice & wholesale sectors.
As time went by & with changes in market conditions leading to a demand for increased consumer convenience, additional premises were secured at Clay Lake Produce Park, Spalding in the summer of 2014. The primary focus of this facility being the added value packing of a range of fresh cut herb products, under the name of JVG Fresh Limited.
Continued growth in the sector over the coming months drove the decision to focus purely on the fresh-cut/convenience range & so the potted herb side of the business was sold to Bridge Farm Nurseries in December 2015.
From this point on JVG Fresh Limited’s focus has been on the continued development of the fresh-cut offer in both own & private label formats direct to retail, foodservice & emerging markets such as online sales.
